Count the working days between two dates, skipping Saturdays and Sundays. Useful for delivery estimates, notice periods, payment terms and project plans.

What counts as a business day

Here a business day is any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Public holidays differ by country, state and even employer, so they are not removed automatically. If your period includes holidays, subtract them from the result yourself. For example, a two-week period that contains Christmas Day on a weekday has 9 working days instead of 10.

Inclusive or exclusive?

When counting working days between two dates, both the start and the end date are included by default: Monday to Friday of the same week is 5 business days. Untick the box to count only the days strictly between them.

When adding business days, the start date itself is not counted. "10 business days from Monday" lands on the Monday two weeks later, which is how shipping and legal deadlines are usually stated.
