How to use the planner
The first row is your home time zone, detected from your device. Every column is one hour of your day, and the other rows show what time that same moment is elsewhere, so you can read straight down a column. Drag across several hours to select a meeting slot; the start and end time in every city appear below, ready to copy. A small date appears where a city's day starts, which shows at a glance when a time falls on the previous or next day elsewhere.
Add cities with the selector, remove them with the × button, and change the date to check a day after a daylight saving change. The address in your browser updates as you go, so you can share the exact view with colleagues.
Finding a time that works
Between New York and London the comfortable overlap is New York morning, London afternoon. Between the US West Coast and India there is usually no time inside normal working hours for both, so one side takes an early morning or late evening call; the color bands make it easy to choose the least painful slot. Around the end of March and late October, when Europe and North America change their clocks on different dates, overlaps shift by an hour for a few weeks.
For a single conversion, the time zone converter is quicker; to see the time right now everywhere, use the world clock.
