Online Stopwatch

Start, stop and record laps, accurate to a hundredth of a second. On a computer you can use the keyboard: Space starts and stops, L records a lap and R resets.

Lap and split times

Each press of Lap records two numbers: the lap time, which is the time since the previous lap, and the total (also called the split time), which is the time since you pressed Start. The fastest lap is marked in green and the slowest in red once you have three or more laps.

Accuracy

The stopwatch measures elapsed time with your device's high-resolution clock, so it keeps counting correctly even if the tab is in the background. Human reaction time when pressing a button is typically around 0.2 seconds, which matters more than the display precision for timing races by hand.
