UTC Timestamp to Local Time

Paste a UTC timestamp, choose a time zone, and see the local time there (your own zone is selected to start with). Unix timestamps in seconds or milliseconds and ISO 8601 dates such as 2026-11-04T15:30:00Z are all recognized automatically.

UTC to US time zones

ZoneStandard timeDaylight saving time12:00 UTC is
EasternEST = UTC − 5 hEDT = UTC − 4 h7:00 AM EST / 8:00 AM EDT
CentralCST = UTC − 6 hCDT = UTC − 5 h6:00 AM CST / 7:00 AM CDT
MountainMST = UTC − 7 hMDT = UTC − 6 h5:00 AM MST / 6:00 AM MDT
PacificPST = UTC − 8 hPDT = UTC − 7 h4:00 AM PST / 5:00 AM PDT
AlaskaAKST = UTC − 9 hAKDT = UTC − 8 h3:00 AM AKST / 4:00 AM AKDT
HawaiiHST = UTC − 10 hno DST2:00 AM HST

US daylight saving time runs from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November. Outside that period, subtract the standard-time hours; inside it, subtract one hour less. The converter above applies the offset that was in force at the moment you paste.

What UTC means

Coordinated Universal Time is the world's reference clock. It does not change for daylight saving time, which is why servers, aviation, weather data and log files use it. Times in UTC are usually written in 24-hour format, often with a trailing "Z" (for "Zulu time"), as in 15:30Z.

ISO 8601 and Unix timestamps

An ISO 8601 timestamp such as 2026-11-04T15:30:00Z gives the date, a "T", the time, and the time zone: "Z" means UTC, while an ending like -05:00 means five hours behind UTC. A Unix timestamp counts the seconds since January 1, 1970 at 00:00 UTC; 1,800,000,000 seconds is January 15, 2027 at 08:00 UTC. Timestamps with 13 digits are usually in milliseconds. Paste either form above and it is converted to your local time.
